Very nice horn salute.

The guy was just being a douche bag...but it's OK I won't be out there for a while anyway and I might just go to Mableton when I go back to the area to film...

I don't know about NS but as for BNSF I contacted them by email and they said as long as I was at least 15 feet from the track they did not have a problem. They also said that they can not answer for state or local police because they are all different.

He gave us the 'safety' speech also, but Max worked for NS/Southern RR since 1973!

That police car drove under the gates at :13 seconds.
If you have to get technical, HE was doing something illegal, not you. Which is rather ironic. Interesting horn salute. :) The police in my town are much nicer. They just make sure you aren't throwing anything at the train.

The local police are cool about us recording out there, that was a NS jerk officer that was just being a douche..or in his words 'doing his job'..

Yea they can be jackasses sometimes about being 'close' to the tracks...you actually should have been far enough from the tracks at the distance you said...
