  • That police car drove under the gates at :13 seconds.

If you have to get technical, HE was doing something illegal, not you. Which is rather ironic. Interesting horn salute. :) The police in my town are much nicer. They just make sure you aren't throwing anything at the train.

  • The local police are cool about us recording out there, that was a NS jerk officer that was just being a douche..or in his words 'doing his job'..

  • That was awesome. What'd he throw to you?

  • Thanks! He threw us some Crescent gift bags left over from train day...

  • You know i was in Gainesville,Ga and a NS police officer said to leave when i was about 10 yards off the tracks and all i was doing was filming trains.God leave us railfans alone if we r not doing anything wrong

  • Yea they can be jackasses sometimes about being 'close' to the tracks...you actually should have been far enough from the tracks at the distance you said...

  • Very nice horn salute.

  • The guy was just being a douche bag...but it's OK I won't be out there for a while anyway and I might just go to Mableton when I go back to the area to film...

  • I don't know about NS but as for BNSF I contacted them by email and they said as long as I was at least 15 feet from the track they did not have a problem. They also said that they can not answer for state or local police because they are all different.

  • He gave us the 'safety' speech also, but Max worked for NS/Southern RR since 1973!
