@cleverbobby Ha,ha yeah that's the one. I'd love to watch that again, I can't find it anywhere. "The shelling's bad tonight... the shelling's bad tonight..." - "The war?" - "No he was a quality control man in a peanut factory." :-)
-
@Dazaroonie Yes- "Gerry's goin over the top tonight....Gerry's goin over the top..." - "Was he in the war?" - " No, he used to be the drummer in the Pacemakers..."
-
Can anyone remember a Xmas sketch where Rory's grandad was an ex drummer for Jerry and the Pacemakers?
-
A show that somehow helped make the eighties bearable.
Julia's expression at the end of the final sketch is utter perfection.
-
LOL, Steven Moffat basically spun out that last sketch into the first episode of "Joking Apart".
-
Love that sketch at the end. I mean how clever is that? When I first saw it, I didn't see the ending coming.
-
Was the best prog of the 80s.. Jimmy Mulville - top man
-
There were four series and the show ran from 1983-88. This was definitely from Series 3 in 1986 though - if you go to the end credits on Part 3, you'll see.
-
If it's really from 1983 (year I was born and Limehouse Studios - where Who Dares Wins was filmed - were opened) , how come Rory McGrath hasn't aged at all? ;o)
-
Thanks for clearing that up (no offence to comment deletion, mi amigo) :o) By the way, did you catch his appearances on Whose Line is it Anyway?
Oops - didn't mean to delete that comment - no, Jimmy Mulville is the sperm.
