Vinay Minocha
Vinay, a Medical Doctor, has distinguished himself on the violin having started the instrument at the age of ten. A background in both East Indian and Western classical music has allowed him to create the unique style of playing that is characteristic of his performances and has garnered him extensive popularity. He has learned Western Classical Music under the guidance of Mrs. Gunilla Tang Kai and has successfully completed up to Grade 8 from the Trinity College, London. He has received training in Indian Classical Music under the tutelage of Shri Shivannand Maharaj and Shri Jagan Ramamoorthy. He has also won numerous music competitions. To his credit, he has won in the Secondary Schools Sangeet Pratiyogita in 1998 and 2000 and in the National Music Festivals in 2000 and 2001.
