My Quaker was a male for 12 years until he layed in egg. It would be a lot safer if you had your bird sexed, it only cost like 25 dollars, and it will save you the panic if it is a female, and it starts egg binding. Their attitude changes and they just don't act themselves when it happens.
We freaked out when our quaker layed in egg, because for a week before hand she acted VERY sick, wouldn't eat much, would stay in the corner of her cage ect. We thought she was dying. So, we panicked for nada

aaaaw i don't know how you can not know! brian's breeder DNA sexed all his babies so I knew I was getting a little boy. I agree with some of the other posts, perhaps you should get him sexed because there can be a lot of problems with females and eggs (binding etc) and it could help to know if kanicki is female so you can prepare for that. and of course some females never lay eggs at all! so my vote goes for having a test and ending the suspence LOL! but i have a feeling kanicki is a girl.
