This is dumb. They show a car with ALL the options added on. To get this car, it'll be in the 20 grand range. For that amount might as well get a better sedan with all the stuff standard!
I don't want to sound like a bleeding heart whatever, but these cars are going up in price due to the events in Japan. I just finalized the sale on a silver FIT base model. I could not be happier with it! Great car, tons of room and is really the perfect car for me. It also makes me feel good that maybe my dollars will help the economy in Japan in their mess after the Tsunami and earthquake.
I heart japanese quality + it is good that perhaps my money will help their nation in a time of need.
@dlock83 Yeah. But with the Fiesta at least a good amount of money makes its way back here because it is an American car.
At the moment I'm considering getting a Ford Focus (not the new model).
Also, I went to a Fit forum and read a lot of not-so-good things about the car, though someone said it was an old thread and some of those problems have been dealt with. I plan to check one out soon and see what the dealer will offer me, as there's a lot to like about the car.
@guyNbluejeans The Ford Fiesta isn't assembled in the US. So while you are supporting an American auto company (which is good) you aren't really supporting American jobs (which is bad).
@guyNbluejeans when you buy a car you always choose the one with better quality. indeed Fiesta is similar with Fit, but fit is way better than fiesta.
I LOVE this car but how does an American lay the money down for it when there's the Fiesta (and other nice American cars similar to it) when considering the tough economic times we're going through? What would one answer if someone were to ask, "Why did you give all that dough to foreign workers when our own people are hurting so much?"
I'm not looking to be flamed, just want to know the answer to my question in case I do decide to get one of these sweet machines.:-)
