I feel for the victims families, but the facts are that criminals don't buy guns at gun shops. Laws don't apply to criminals. Passing more laws just affects law-abiding citizens. Backround checks, silly magazine bans, bans of certain types of guns only affect people who will follow the law. Criminals will ignore any new laws, just like they have ignored the old ones.  Let people defend themselves. VT would not have been as bad if a CHL had shot the bastard.

Gun-control/victim disarmament laws don't work or help law-abiding citizens. Criminals don't care about laws. Wherever victim disarmament laws have been enacted, violent crime has risen (like in the UK). If Hitler, Stalin etc didn't ban guns from the citizens, their victims would have had a chance to protect themselves against a government that turned on its people. Think about how many rampages could have been quickly stopped by gun-owning, law-abiding citizens & most occured in gun-free zones.

Unless you are a trained police officer or a trained member of the military, you do NOT NEED a gun. Abolish the 2nd Amendment! Allow local and federal forces to take ALL guns and do it NOW!

More than 30,000 people die from guns every year in this country. More than 3,000 of them are children and young people - that's about 9 children a day. If 9 children a day died from H1N1 or contaminated hamburger, don't you think someone would pay attention and do something? No one is saying guns should be taken away from American citizens, they're only saying we need sensible gun laws. And by the way, for every child killed each day with a gun, another 3 or 4 are injured. Do the math.
