The enterprise has two different self-destruct codes. The one in the movie was the code used when near a planet. The other code would have destroyed the whole ship, but it's used when the ship is in deep space.

She doesnt look very destroyed. Badly damaged, yes, unrepairable, no. If she hadn't fallen into atmosphere, some hostile faction could have gotten alot of federation tecnology off her. You'd think self destruct would blow up more than just half the saucer and a little stardrive section. Just sayin.........................

awesome job---you should do the same thing with the 3 foot polar lights model!
one tiny error (really insignificant) the "original series" decal for the engineering section was the A, not the 1701. but all in all, i give you high marks for skill and ability. enjoyed the video
