i work at the plant here in grayson,ky.. we dont kill the pigs here, we just receive the raw parts like butt,shank and arm and we cookem and packem, idk if im against the union though, but im not complaining since im making 12.95 an hour

I get the distinct impression that the reporter has never done hard work. She sounds scared of knives. Perhaps she needs to actually do some real investigative reporting by giving up her cushy reporter job and spending a year working and supporting herself from hard labor like a great many people do so that she can appreciate a day's pay for a day's work. 10 to 15 pound loins are not really a big deal. Perhaps she prefers to exert herself at her health club. So dainty.

I am also at a loss, what is the point of this, surely no one thought the meat just mysteriously fell off the bone? Yes its a hard job, and very necc to supply meat to the world! The video didnt look like anything out of the way or more than I expected to see, and yes kill floors are what they are kill floors! Why ruin your business thru filming them, when so many already have a narrow view on what is right and wrong with meat plants.

I got an education about Smithfield Foods, and so did memberss in NY and CA. We won't ever eat anything Smithfield again after watching these horrid videos. Where is Peta on this?

So, exactly why isn't the public allowed to see how the food gets to our tables and into our mouths? Companies should be FORCED by law to reveal every aspect of their operations, especially these.
