The PPA helped fight for a 6 month extension of the UIGEA. The PPA is now fighting to exempt online poker from the law. But what happens if UIGEA becomes law on June 1?

  • Man, this is horse hockey. Not John, the crap he's fighting against. Tonight was the first night I was unable to load cash onto my account on PokerStars. I play strictly No Limit Texas Hold 'Em, a game of skill. Why is it any bank or debit card issuer's business what I do with my money? I have never understood the argument for this insepid bill and anyone that agrees with it simply doesn't understand the game of poker.

  • Thanks for fighting for poker players!, you guys are doing a great job keep it up

  • @AMovieInFBombs There was no arguement for or against internet poker. The UIEGA was just a way further Bill Frists political career.

  • what exactly DOES this law do? if it's not "doomsday", then how CAN we still play and get our money?

  • Every single day our government comes up with a new way to injure or steal from the people they are supposed to be serving. This is but one example.

What needs to be changed is the government itself - RADICALLY.

  • I hope this doesn't mean that roulette will be excluded! Roulette is a game of skill as well as poker is! All table games (except Keno) are! SUGGESTED QUOTE FOR PPA: "My freedom to swing my arm ends where your nose begins!" -- Professor James Shenton, PBS American History series, 1960s.

  • @AMovieInFBombs just made a $10 deposit using echecks. hopefully it works for you next time you try it. from what i've heard, there won't be a ton of changes because of this legislation. and earlier this month, partypoker's stock on the european stock exchange went way up because they're planning on re-entering the US market within the next few months as soon as legislation goes through. I think this will work out.

  • @cozzy3002 eChecks wasn't working either. Turns out a PStars processing server was down. My All Access card still works and hopefully it still will after June 1st. But still, this thoughtless and moronic legislation needs to be stopped by someone. I should look up who voted yes to this ridiculous crap - all the financial problems they have and a HUGE pile of money is just sitting there to be taxed.

  • @AMovieInFBombs echecks should still work. hope you can get money on that way so you can keep playing.

  • Thanks John, and all others at the PPA you guys are fighting the good fight, and doing it well. Donating to the PPA is money very well spent.

  • Nice video John!
