Probably the 5th time spinning a rope dart. Doing things alot different then normal. Apply physics from Poi, Staff and Contact Staff to create something a bit more interactive.

I practice without music, so I just threw a track over the top.

  • Wow.. it's so weird to watch this again. This was like 1 week after I picked it up. I really need to record another practice video with this heh. :)

  • not really rope dart. but you probably new that already.

also, with ropedart you never hit the body. since it is origionaly an iron dart

it would hurt very badly if it were to hit you.

    also its to short.

but your movement is very nice

you should try extual ropedart ;)

    keep it up <3

  • @tizeen I think I mentioned in the description of the video that it is a LOT shorter then normal and that I'm doing moves different then normal. :) If everyone always does the same thing, how are we ever going to break the mold and come up with new unique moves. Gotta think outside :)

The moves are definately focused on the aspect of it as a fire head as opposed to that of an iron dart for an attack.

I'm working with a full length one now, but really love the aspects of a short one :)

  • It's actually short on purpose :) it allows me to change hands, do aerials, etc.

We've toyed around with so far as doing aerial passes to a second person and then them wrapping releasing and me catching. :)

I'm totally aiming at a different dynamic and a new kinda way to do rope dart style moves :) :) Check out my other video "1492" which has me doing it on fire. :)

    Thanks for the comment!!! :)

  • erm...this would look more like chainwhip movements, since its about the same length, and is sort of the "basic" of ropedart..although i have to say the chainwhip is a weapon of its own strengths over rope dart as well..like the part where it looks like you're swinging it as a mallet with the string as the mallet's pole.Good job!

  • One comment - Thats a short rope to be doing ropedart. Usually the length of both your arms spread out and then the height from your shoulders to the ground. With that length you have you're limited in what you can do with it.

but it looks good keep it up.

  • Nice hun... I look forward to seeing you do this with Fire...
