  • I have bought my paint from BMW dealership already. Can i just use the paint i have already and buy your solution and do this? or i have to buy the whole kit you guys have? Thank you.

  • @tallica4us Our blending solution is formulated to work with our paint only, so it will not work with your dealership BMW paint. If you dab and smear the dealership paint and try to blend it as you would when using our paint, you'll find that our blending solution will not remove the excess paint and you'll be quite upset at the paint smears you'll have stuck on your car.

  • The only way to truly make the chips disappear would be to have them filled, sanded and resprayed, which is something a body shop would do and charge several hundred dollars to for. Our paint will make the small road rash all but completely disappear and it will greatly reduce the visibility of the larger chips. Using the 3-ft rule, most typical chip repairs done with our paint will not be noticed unless you're trying to find them.

  • No clear coat is needed. Our paint dries with clear coat properties, hard and shiny. If you've ever tried applying clear coat to a chip, you'll know that it's not very feasible without leaving a big shiny glob. Our paint eliminates that ugly portion of repairing chips.

  • We suggest you wait a week to 10 days before waxing.

  • 3M used to make a product called the Rust Avenger, which worked well at addressing rust in chips, however, they quit making it. Your local hardware store likely has rust converter in larger containers. Use a Q-tip or small artist's paint brush or microbrush to apply this solution to the rust. It should turn convert it to a black, paintable surface. For a few chips, we've also used the sharp point of a small knife and lightly scraped the surface rust away, careful not to harm the clear coat.

  • @DrColorChip ohhh ok, i will order one from you guys then. Thank you.

  • @IMSOCool271 That's what I was wondering too. I called a body shop, and they said there isn't much you can do, but if you want it looking new, you would have to have it repaint it. I have a paint chip on my car door, and I sanded it down pretty good and used touch up paint, but it still doesn't look that good. They said I would have to repaint the entire door panel and that'll cost $300+.... I dont even know what to do.

  • is there a way to do make the paint chips look like new so you cant tell you touch it up

  • what about a clear coat? wont the paint just wear away quick? The only clear coat i have is a little bottle from auto zone with a shity brush. any suggestions? Also do i put it on just like your putting this paint on?

  • I just received my Dr. Colorchip kit yesterday and I am blown away by the results. I have a 2001 Audi A4 and was able to completely hide a key mark on car that was 2 inches long. It's not uncommon to have to do more than one application. By far the best product for hiding chips and light scratches and key marks.
