Sachs MadAss 50cc Motorcycle Demo

THis is short promo on the unique Sachs MadAss 50cc scooter on and off road. It comes w/ either a 4 spd manual or 2 spd automatic. I bought 2 of these bikes - used one for the footage of me riding in the brown shirt (shot in HD) - and bought another for my brother in Boston - who has since cranked 5K miles on it with some mods like removing the stock airbox, speed regulator, etc. This neat little bike can ride street or trail - and has the same design features of a real trail bike w/ the suspension and brakes. Plus at about $1,500 it's a good value.

i was thinking about buying one....but this video makes them seem imensly slow

it's only 50cc - but once broken it and with a few mods it's a peppy scooter.

Can these be derestricted?Whats top speed derestricted?

YES - remove air box and break in motor, remove speed restrictor (google it to find out how) - will go over 30mph. Still only a 50cc though...

Cheers for that,whats the top speed with those things done,is is much over 30mph?

I have a 4 stroke 50cc honda derestricted that manages around 80kph so wondering if this bike gets to that

Not much past 30mph - can hit 40mph w/ mods and w/ the 4 speed version - but the automatic 2-speed is slowwww.
