This conductor is officially my favorite! I don't know I'm mistaken but I think he came to conduct in Puerto Rico not too long ago... Anyway, bravo to this performance, totally worthy of Tchaikovsky's genius!!

youth orchestras, while sometimes [not in this case] aren't quite as refined in their technique there's always so much more passion! or else they wouldn't be spending hours in rehearsal.

This conductor is now my 2nd favorite, next to Valery Gergiev. He has such fire and spirit!!! The perfect conductor for the passionate and energetic music of my favorite composer.

Also, this orchestra has some of the hottest babes going. The cellist at 7:47 (the one with the dark long hair) is smoking HOT!!!

I think that young people can play this with much more enthusiasm than older professional musicians in a major orchestra, who may act bored with standard Romantic classical music repertoire.
