"I hear the mountain birds
The sound of rivers singing
A song I've often heard
It flows through me now
So clear and so loud
I stand where I am
And forever I'm dreaming of home
I feel so alone, I'm dreaming of home

It's carried in the air
The breeze of early morning
I see the land so fair
My heart opens wide
There's sadness inside
I stand where I am
And forever I'm dreaming of home
I feel so alone, I'm dreaming of home

This is no foreign sky
I see no foreign light
But far away am I
From some peaceful land
I'm longing to stand
A hand in my hand
...forever I'm dreaming of home
I feel so alone, I'm dreaming of home"

  • We watched this in French class and there wasn't a single dry eye in the room.

It quickly became one of my favourite movies.

  • This is, and always will be one of my favorite films and songs.. And in all seriousness, I intend this to be played at my Funeral. This song is beyond beauty, when we actually watched this in my High School class a few years back, I couldn't stop myself crying despite the class being there, though I hid it well. The movie and song go together brilliantly, listening to this always gives me the image of the brave souls in the film finally at peace, Nature, Birds singing.. And no more Pain.

  • Wonderful, wonderful movie.

It is truly a pity how little is published and filmed about the Great War.

  • iam so glad im never had to go through what they endured, god bless all the men on both sides

  • i cry after i watch this movie....

  • @Tigerman1138

Now all we need is a muslim in your ranks and I will have hope for the future :)

  • @deanlcooljoe My best friend, a Catholic, showed this to me on one of our movie nights. I am Jewish, we're both 33, and this became my favorite Christmas movie. We both love cats and the movie brought me to tears in several places, I truly love it.

  • In those days, those who questioned the purpose of their suffering in the trench while they actually all along could have just walked home were wronged.

Today they're all right, hopefully everyone will come to realize the pointlessness of war and in those times where tyrants rise and will try to start wars. At that time everyone should just tell the leaders and the generals behind their desks to go fight their wars by themselves.

  • @sam9116 Sure why not? as long as they have internet xD besides i'm talking about the end of the war when everybody can go home and there are not "sides" anymore.

  • @benitoparra do u think even facebook existed then they would provide service to opposing sides?
