I think the best umpires are the ones that are consistent with their calls, and don't make mistakes on the easy calls. Some umpires will do an amazing overrule in a hard to see ball, and then miss one in a much easier call, and imho good umpires don't do that. The good ones don't make many overrules, but once they make, you can trust they are right.
