No offense, but people who criticize you while you're in the arena can really take the joy out of barrel racing,or any event. I say this from experience.

@akcshelties actually if the horse and rider both are just learning, they deff do not need to be going full out. it works against you in the long run. I thought that was great for a first time! i have a horse that is a bit on the chubby side too :) shes quick, but is a better jumper than anything when i get all the weight off her
