Lazio vs. Roma (16/10/11) Second Goal and Final Whistle Fan Reaction (LazioLand)

I was fortunate enough to be at the last Rome Derby (October, 16, 2011). This is the second goal, the fan reaction, followed by the final whistle and a bit of the craziness that ensued. This was filmed on my Canon MarkII with a wide angle 12-24, excuse the camera shake since there was madness around me. Behind me were the LazioLand.com Forum Fans that attended. Needless to say, they are true FANatics (coming from all over the world to see the game live)! Special thanks to Kash for taking me, and to all the fans that made for the amazing atmosphere. This is a highly recommended experience!

@zycoz Ya, quite a few actually. There we're about 4 or 5 of us from Sweden in the one section, then we met a few more guys on the bus after the game.

@pillostruairs tiferesti roma perchè sei un provinciale : solo nelle città di provincia alberga il sentimento d'identificazione tra nome della città e squadra. Nelle grandi capitali, città per definizione cosmopolite, tale sentimento non esiste : a Madrid il nome della città viene adoperato come suffisso ( Real Madrid e Atletico Madrid). Idem a Vienna, a Mosca, ovunque ( per non parlare di Londra). E' la Lazio la vera interprete dell'anima profonda di Roma,città a vocazione cosmopolita.

la cosa che più amo è quel momento di stasi infinita, tra il 5° e il 6° sec, un attimo prima dell'esultanza quando c'è un momento in cui tutto è fermo, la palla è già entrata ma il tifoso ancora deve ancora realizzare, il momento in cui sembra che lo stadio venga risucchiato in un solo respiro, in cui la curva diventa come una molla che si comprime fino ai minimi termini per poi sganciarsi e far esplodere l'esultanza. E' qualcosa di spettacolare ed è forse tutto lì che risiede l'anima del calcio
