This song is AWESOME! It suits her voice perfectly. If promoted the right way, this could be a huge success in Country Music, and also adult contempory. Her voice is just as good as Carrie Underwood's, if not more powerful. Lightyears better than Kellie Pickler, and look how successful Kellie is!
The best version of this is a shortened piece she performed on AI Extra. Check it out. Can't wait for the studio recording! She should've won AI Season 3, AND Gone Country! Disgraceful she lost both.

Thanks for the explaination. I agree on the praise you gave for Diana, her tone is absolutely amazing. Her voice has a nice fullness yet her emotion and range are still present, not to mention her intonation and diction. she is just an overall exceptional singer, she has very similar qualities to Kelly Clarkson although Kelly has a slightly larger range. wonder why idol hasn't had her back? Diana is one of their very best contestants easily amoung the top 10 most talented on the show.
When is her album coming out? I know she realized that acoustic album not too long ago, but it didn't have this song or the other one I love called "Better With Time" those two songs could launch her to Carrie Underwood status in the Country charts. Has John Rich also dropped her like 19 did? There has to be a story as to why Diana keeps getting screwed over by the music business. First with 19 management, then with the R&B album, and now with Country? Any news/explaination would be awesome.

As of now, there is no date for her album release. RBWWE has too many tentacles attached to it in regards to CMT, Gone Country, John Rich, Shanna Crooks and Keith Stegall that all would want money from Diana if she had put it on her EP that she has released. Im sure that is also the reason she doesnt perform that song live any more as well.

Many seem to think her new songs could/should launch her as big as Carrie but we that think that do not have the money to back her up like she would get from being signed to a record label. Im sure Diana has been working on / pursuing signing to a record label to release her new songs to an album. Why has she not been signed yet? Only an insider to Diana would know that answer. She has 14 to 15 new songs she has performed and sooner or later they will be released to an album.

As far as I know, she is still signed to John Richs production company. Is he doing much to help her out in getting signed to a label? Hmmm, I dont know but it seems not. 19 management and RCA never properly managed Diana from the start and put out a miss matched bunch of songs on a sub par album. Diana had nothing to do with writing producing or promoting that alum so its failure is not her fault. Her job was to sing what she was told to sing and she did a great job.

She said she left the R&B album because she didnt like were it was going and because she was given little to no say concerning its production. She walked away from that on her own. Diana is a phenomenal performer with a vocal range and quality that few can match in the music business.

Why has she not been signed in Nashville yet? Only a guess from me but, she has good songs but she needs that one or two no brainer hits like Carries Before He Cheats. Some get signed quickly and others take 5 to 10 years to become an over night success. Basically, just because she has not been signed to a label in Nashville yet doesnt mean she never will.
