A live appearance by Tippi Hedren, star of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds and Marnie, on July 4, 2010 at the The Tides Wharf in Bodega Bay, California, where most of The Birds was shot. The video is preceded by a short Universal studios trailer for The Birds, released in 1962..
I was surprised she was already in her 30s when she did the films with Hitchcock, she looked 10 years younger even then. Anyway she still looks good.

@locotaco10 It's amazing that Hitchcock chose a more mature woman for the part (in The Birds, her first film). I felt this was a wise move because the theme of the movie is loneliness. Here is a woman who is not so young anymore, but still looking for love. Then she meets Suzanne Pleshette. What a wonderful contrast!

My sister, bless 'er, was there that day and bought me an 8x10 of
TIPPI from THE BiRDS. Telling MISS HEDREN that "my brother loves you !",
TIPPI inscribed the photo "To Kelt...I Love You Too !"
She's terrific ! !

@Keltster I love her too, she WAS terrific! That's interesting that your sister got you an autographed photo of Tippi. I got one for MY brother, autographed and dedicated to him. I think he'll get a kick out of it. He took me to see The Birds at the theater when it first came out. We were fairly young at the time, and I was scared to death! Thanks for your post.
