This is aprox. 5 hours of footage condensed into a quick practice astorphoto time-lapse. I had to change the battery twice during shooting. Interval between shooting was 30 seconds. Exposure was 5 seconds for each photo. Each photo is displayed for 0.12 seconds, a bit slow given the speed of the stars, but I didn't want the clouds to whip by too quickly either so I had to strike a balance.
Yes, it's noisy, but that's what you get with a light-polluted area and a basic camera. I got lucky that the clouds came to make the scene more interesting while not obscuring the stars completely.
For those wondering, if you want to do time-lapse photos on the Nikon D60, you need to hook it up to a computer via a USB and use Nikon's Camera Control software. The photos were put together into a video with Windows Movie Maker.
The music actually somewhat inspired me to create this time-lapse. Track is "Everything" by Jim Guthrie from his album, Children of the Clone:

Hi,
I would suggest that you use some other software for making the movie ... I remember I tried to use windows movie maker, and I remember that there was no option to set the frame rate. Now I use adobe premiere.
