What a shame, tempo is way too fast... it ruins such a beautiful piece imho.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
Wow!
This is too fast. The singers are unable to articulate the notes of the melismas, or runs.
The glory of Handelian Baroque oratorio solo and tutti choral music is the beautiful sound of the many florid, tuneful melismas or runs.
That glory is lost when the tempo is so fast that the notes cannot be articulated by the singers and distinguished by the ears of the listeners.
I love fast tempos.
But, not so fast that the notes cannot be sung.
