this is a small video of my alternative energy systems.I didn't make it all the way down to the micro hydro.I will try to get a better video and explain a little about each system for the people who are just getting started rather than just showing what I have.thanks for watching

nice. it is very adictive. i started with one panel from autozone i remember it came with a 7amp charge controller.i was wondering how do the home made wind turbine compare to the windmax money wise and power wise.

@orlan7s1 hey I say build your own its a lot of fun and I think its around the same price.I did mine pretty cheap by using recycled parts.check out muddymuddyman on YouTube he will show you exactly what to do to build a quality turbine

Have you considered adding an entry level nuclear power generator? You've done just about everything else! Yes, this is an addictive hobby, but just think, in 50 years it will have paid for itself! LOL

@michael970 you can use an oil cooler from a car (the tube in fin type) if you make sure it always has water and is in the back of the fire box, right against the back wall. (if you fire feeds air from the front, it will mean i doesn't get hot enough to melt it)

How do you turn the pump off/on when the water is warm/cold? I made a circuit using two diodes as temperature sensors to compare the roof temperature to the tank temperature and automatically turn a 17 volt DC pump off/on. Some people use a solar panel to feed the DC pump instead of measuring the temperature difference.
