Mostly tradition. Many PD's in Ga have gone to red and blue.

I dont understand why only blue lights? Red is the universal color for stop. Actually red and blue combos are more visiable on highways and in poor weather conditions then just blue by its self. I think these states need to get out of the blue only era. Blue in NJ is for vol fire fighters and vol first aiders. They are not allowed to go through red lights either.

@pearldrumsarecool Very nice, be safe on the roads Sir, you guys are doing a great job. His areas are mostly within the capitol and other parts in downtown Atlanta.
