  • Ali was smart and fast as a boxer and a beautiful human .

  • @crysty200718 He was definetly a great fighter even here in 1961, but he wasn't as strong as he would later be, he could simply not knock this man out.

    Later, when he became stronger and found out that he could knock them out, he started predicting rounds. Something no other fighter has ever been able to do for soo long. 12 times in a row or something like that!!!

  • thanks for putting this up. you have to realize ali was 19 and 192 lbs, he would later fight around 208. alonzo was in his prime and very in shape. but ali clearly won by a wider margin that they scored, i think that was for dramatic effect.

    notice also the segregated seating in 1961 kentucky. is it any wonder ali told his government to take a hike when they wanted him to go to vietnam? blacks were disproportionately drafted for war.
