On the beach while the dj plays at the maxim beach party. It was pretty dead so we hit the beach. Notice the massive erosion sand wall at the beach. : /

This was shot in June 2010, the beaches were just finished. Does anyone know if there is massive erosion again?

fog561... just remember that this is not a very up to date video as the beaches in Cancun have been eroded a lot and it´s quite smaller than it shows in the video. It´s still a great beach, but it has a very small sand part on the beach. The hotel is amazing!

I just read mixed reviews of the hotel and our group consists of cops and fireman in their mid to late 20's just looking to have fun and enjoy the weather. We were debating because we don't want to go down there if the lounges and bars are dead. As long as there are singles to mingle and good music. Thanks for the info.

im planning to go to cancun late july....its going to be me and 3 of my friends....would you recommend this hotel? Was the lobby bar and pool pretty dead the whole time? Im used to staying at the gran melia but we thought we would try the ME this year...

@fog561 If your looking for a younger crowd, then yes. The lobby bar/lounge is open every night. Thursday is vinyl night 80's and 90's music, Fridays is lady's drink free from 10pm-1am, and Saturday is happy hour from 10pm-12am. Live Dj Thursday-Sat. The lounge wasn't dead at night. Maxim beach party isn't free, you have to pay extra money, but that money goes towards drinks/food. I have more videos of the hotel if you still have ?'s
