John "More Hops" Maier has been the brewmaster at Rogue Ales since the beginning. 18 years and 10,000 brews later he's still there. "They'll have to drag me out," said John.

  • We just had a chance to tour the brewery in Newport OR, awesome place and awesome beer. We brought back 2 cases of beer! (we're from cali)

  • You'll find great brew at our SF location too if you venture into the Bay Area. Hope you'll swing by next time you come up. We always have something special on tap here. Cheers!

  • It was our pleasure. I hope you'll share your good fortune with your friends. Enjoy!

  • My buddy is the most amazing lover of Rogue! He has many saved bottles from almost every brew! Him and I stand up for Rogue as one of the BEST craft breweries anywhere! I AM A ROGUE!!!!!!!!!

  • i want to open my own brew pub. iam a business major and my hobie is beer "find a job doing what you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life"

  • i want to open my own brew pub

  • PS...I have also had the Juniper Pale Ale. Which i thought was pretty good for a pale ale. But not that much flavor, kinda bland. Compared to the sweetness of the Dead Guy and the nuttiness of the Nectar. And all the other flavors that explode within your taste buds.

  • Thanks Rogue. Now i can't drink anything else. Can't go back to the usual. I have only had the Dead Guy and the Brown Hazelnut Nectar, and they are by far the best beers i have had. Props to you guys. However, they are so good, i think i am addicted. I can't get addicted to any other beer, so, i guess that's saying something.. Oregon FTW!!! ....This Fosters i have SUCKS! I have been trying out beers i haven't tried. I just wish i went and bought a Dead Guy. (The only Rogue i can buy in my town)

  • As an Aspiring brewer, seeing John Maier doing all this hard work after 18 years inspires me more than any brewing book could. My first Rogue was a Mocha Porter and its still one of my favorites, if not my favorite porter.

  • I went down to the brewery, got to meet John M, as a homebrewer it was the holy grail!! Thanks John Maier!! Keep on brewin!

  • Got my photo with John framed in my brewery at home... thanks for your inspiration. It's all about the beer!

  • I really want the tabs to the song that plays in this video. Oh and Rogue brews rock. :D

  • Lets see here, John is to Rogue beer as um........Albert Einstein is to a chalkboard.
