That's how I felt about math in High school.

Algebra 1: A- , Geometry: B+, Algebra 2: B-, Pre Calculus : C+ And finally Calculus: D.

It was a pretty bad feeling to see it decline.

@mikeohohoh7 forced to resign/pressured to resign/fired I suppose you are right there is a difference. Michelle Rhee was forced out...I'm sure some people will feel better about the different terms, I doubt Michelle Rhee feels she wasn't fired.

@Floodlezoot If they did put some hidden cameras in the classroom, what you would see is decent teachers, trying their best to teach kids who simply don't want to learn. Maybe one kid in 20 has any interest in algebra, the rest don't and its a waste of time trying to teach it.

We should be separating kids out, on the basis of test scores at an early age. A few kids learn math, a few kids learn English literature, the rest learn how to be mechanics, and cooks and plumbers.
