llya Zhitomirsknge's Great Vision of changing the world by "giving users more privacy and more control in social networking" has been interrupted by, suicide. Unlike Facebook or Google, Diaspora lets the users keep its information to themselves.
Diaspora* addresses privacy concerns by de-centralising the information (by allowing users to set up their own servers to store their own personal data) unlike Facebook and Google who gather all the data they get from users and keep it in their networks.
