Jason Grimm meets Kat Von D at her Book Signing in Boston

INTRO:
Since their were about 600 people their, they were moving everyone fast and did not allow posing for photos. I decided to keep my Cannon a630 camera on video mode. It wasn't easy trying to film. I had made sure I had something in mind to say to her already, since their was only 30 seconds time. Some people were very nervous and didn't say anything. I was nervous myself but I wanted to make sure I at least had a little quick chat with her. Kat was exactly as you see her on TV. She was very nice and made a lot of effort to try and talk with people. It was amazing to see how fast she could sign the books sometimes without even looking down, so she could look at everyone to say smile and say hello or give compliments. If you had a band shirt on, she'd mention the band, and was just very outgoing. It's easy to see why she has so many friends.

WHAT DID YOU SAY TO KAT?
She noticed and commented that I was filming and gave a nice look to the camera. She put out her hand to shake my hand. (I'll never wash my hand again! lol :P ) I was trying to tell her how awesome I think it was that she got into tattooing at 14 and was around the punk scene because I was into the same thing. I had a Mohawk when I was in punk bands back then. It was funny how she mentioned her first tattoo was a punk band tattoo (Misfits) because my first tattoo was also a punk band (the Exploited) which I didn't get to tell her. Then at the end I give her a Rock & Roll "I Love You" Kat, and she does the same. It was really awesome and a positive experience. The way she grew up, it makes me think about how life is tough (especially was for me as a kid) but everyone can achieve their dreams. I really respected her for all that she has achieved and still be a humble fun person.

DISCLAIMER N' JUNK:
I don't like to appear on camera much, especially talking because of my ADD which causes my mind to race with thoughts flying fast and catching the right words to get out becomes difficult. When I was in highschool I was suspended because they thought I was on drugs and I wasn't. That pissed me off. So anyway I'm trying to get over the camera shy factor. So be nice please.

BOOK VERSIONS CLARIFICATION:
(I bought the book right after it came out so I have the 1st edition which has the soft padded hardcover and faded design print yellow inside the cover. The 2nd edition is a hardcover also, but it has a printed book cover page with black pages inside the hardcover which she signs with silver marker.
