@carpetmonk there not, if you look the pump sucks upward and draws em out, but it is not uncommon to find them in the first 30cm

where do you buy the rig you were using to extract them from the sand ? ive got access to a nice stretch of beach on the puget sound im wondering if it would be worth trying ?
