The plight of over 100,000 children - this video tells the story of homelessness in the city of Tegucigalpa and all of Honduras. Much like many of the other Latin American countries, poverty and homeless children are common. Thanks to the compassionate efforts of the former First Lady of Honduras, Aguas Ocana, thousands of children were rescued and placed in protective shelters and eventually foster homes, where they could receive a good education and healthy living. Written and produced by Media Forest in 2004, this video/ documentary was translated in English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese and shows actual footage of the crisis situation.
