well they get there clean from there emg 60 and for distortion they use the 81 and the guitar techs are either hitting a distortion pedal or hitting a amp setting to change it

ahh i see, pretty neat work by the guitar techs.. i can imagine what james would do if they messed up (which they dont obviously)..haha.

They don't. They only switch pick ups manually. The distortion/clean tones are controlled off stage by their guitar techs.

Wow, I just noticed I was standing right by you at this show. Probably a couple people behind.
I saw Lars' dad, Torben, standing right next to me as the show was starting. Almost went and shook his hand, but thought that might be a bit intrusive.
