Another member here: TheAlpha0116 and I often shoot together. We have now culled well over 400 rabbits from this farm which will be better controled on behalf of the new owners. After cleaning out the edible rabbits, they are hung on the back of the vehicle to cool and allow the fleas to drop off before bagging them up for elderly friends or a local butcher. The meat is fat free and is one of the best meats available. Rabbits that are too small or otherwise unsuitable for human consumption are left for foxes and birds of prey that are known to be in the area.

A bullet shot from an elevated position such as the door mirror of a vehicle is more likely to pass safely into soil just behind a rabbit after passing through it than one taken prone with the bullet travelling further before reaching a safe location. The rifleman is fully rested, supported and breathing calmly when shooting from a vehicle and can usually cover more ground in a 4WD than on foot. In general, vehicle based shooting is likely to be more productive as bunnies don't consider a vehicle to be a predator unless they have good reason to fear it.

  • Nice Pinin

  • @TheFerretboy95 Yup - it was bought ostensibly for the wife who needed an automatic and power steering due to her arthritis - but does me proud in the wettest of fields with the KL71 mud tyres on it that make a lovely purposefull sound on the tarmac... which she hates LOL.

  • thumbs up if you heard the script 0:50 :^)

  • Good eyes! I couldn't see half of them.

  • @Squad2ND Ah - not really, I used an SD camcorder which doesn't do Dark very well. All the shots could be seen on the clip I made but it has been made worse by the Compression applied by Youtube.

  • Glad to see this nice video, after see some video on YouTube about .22, I think I do need to give up the semi ruger 10/22 and get a bolt action cz452 or something like that, I do love your sako, but it's too expensive here, anyway, I'm looking forward to see more video from you guys:)

  • You could say that as both LR and HMR were used in this video: 50 yards zero for the .22LR falling projectile - and the rising 17HMR projectile passes the crosshairs at 'about' 50 yards and see's the crosshairs again at it's 100 yards zero.

  • Nice shooting, 'bolluxthen0."

Just out of curiosity though, what is your rifle sighted in for - 50 yards?

  • @alfeu71 All ok, thank you alfeu, I think part of your questions were regarding calibers: I used a mixture of .22LR and 17HMR during this video.
