XHA1 Manual Focus Test - I didn't think I could get the DOF this shallow.

Just practicing my manual focus and zoom for live macro videography. Also want to use this concept to practice for when I get the 7D or other HDSLR to compliment my camcorders and to reduce post production time. I want to use this for when a groom is getting ready in the background and the wedding ring(s) are in the foreground.

Basically want to make sure you have good lighting and manually set your camera to /f 2.0 to get a nice depth of field. Sorry for the misspelled FOD, I did it twice yuk. I've since switched to the canon 7D. This was one of my first clips messing with depth of field.

I just bought the canon xh a1s to shoot a short film... it requires a lot of these kinds of shots... i want to do the switch of focus like you just did, but i see to be unable to do it... how did u do it?

Anyway HDSLR has the great benefit of incredible depth of field
