In the world's largest refugee camp, hygiene is a question of life and death. Audrey Andwati, hygiene promotor with Oxfam, at work.

As of August 2011, 15,000 refugees have been educated about hygiene by Oxfam in Dadaab.

The Dadaab refugee complex in northeastern Kenya, currently shelters more than 400,000 people (Aug 2011) -- most of them fleeing conflict and drought in Somalia.

Thousands of refugees continue to arrive each week, many walking for days or even weeks, as drought worsens across the region. Oxfam is on the ground in Dadaab, laying pipelines and trucking in clean water for residents, and training residents on hygiene.
