@mizas79 Until the 1920s, there were more Jews in Salonika than Greeks. Between then and the Holocaust, Jews ere still at least a third of the total population of the city. Read "Salonica: City of Ghosts" by M. Mazower and "Greece - a Jewish History" by K. Fleming for more information. Και τα δύο έχουν μεταφραστεί στα Ελληνικά.

Before the 1920s, Greeks were less than a third of Salonika's population. Read this book, which hhasave been translated into Greek: Salonika, City of Ghosts, by Mark Mazower.
