I've been traveling to Ontario's North with DAREarts. While on the tiny plane flying back South I started hearing a beat to the engine and this chant came into my head. I was sitting in the co-pilot's seat wearing the head piece and sang it to the pilot. That was kind of special. So Mr. Pilot, here's the song. And to the rockers in Ogoki Post First Nation, you know who you are, you're welcome to cover this the next time you have a jam. And when I come back in the fall, I expect to sing it with you.
For the guys in Ogoki, and their Ogoki Girls.

Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Flyin' my heart back home
Nothing but sticks and stones down there
Nothing like the feeling when you're in the air
Rivers meander and unravel and curl
Winding me back to my Ogoki girl
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Flyin' my heart back home
Nothing in the sky but a hazy sun
The blurring of time and all the work I've done
The pop of the prop and the mechanical whirl
Spinning me back to my Ogoki girl
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Flyin' my heart back home
In the belly of the bird I got a box full of things
Held together with tape and a prayer
The turbulence is rattlin' the rivets in the wings
If I stare really hard at the ground
I'll see my soul still walking around
Down there...
Nothing but bumps because the ceiling's so low
Here between the clouds and the melting snow
The Northern Lights are made of Mother of Pearl
Shinin' on me and my Ogoki Girl
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Oh Ogoki coming home to you
Flyin' my heart back home
Really nice, thank you for sharing
