Nobody blames the TROOPS for the war. It's not their decision. They're just doing their job , which they get paid shitloads for.

It's not like Conor was saying the troops were responsible for anything at all. And if anything, I'd say they'd want to be brought home so they can see their families and, uh - not be in danger of dying. I know I would.

No. I'm anti-war, but the soldiers get treated shitty because our government has no more use for them. They bait poor kids to join the war with promises of prosperity and then fuck them over. Money gets used on weapons not on healing the vets.

Also, the vast majority of deaths in the current wars are Iraqi/Afgan civilians. Realise that they are just as important as middle class white Americans that were in the twin towers on 9/11, if you can understand this, you may see why such a war is a fucking disgrace, which violates ALL international laws.

if it means going to fucking jail for refusing to go, then so be it. A stretch behind bars or whatever, a fine perhaps, is worth it so you're not destroying fucking families over an imperialistic war that only benefits the fat cats of the United States and its coalition governments and allies. They are NOT fighting for freedom, they have savaged Afganistan and Iraq to a large extent and have put embargos up to prevent vital life sustaining resources to reach civilians.

Part 2 of Rant:

Every country divides over time and kills each other. Its sad but its true. And then others get involved in outside situations to drive the fight into a different direction. What we need to be doing in is fixing out own problems. We need to fix our neighborhoods before we take the act transatlantic. To many fellow Americans are killing each other on American soil.

The American Troops can't "Win" the war. Because being there is just giving them an advantage. There has been inner struggle with that country for so many years that the only service our troops are providing is that of a body to get in the way of a bullet. And even if the troops kill a bunch of them...they want to die. They feel they receive the greatest gift of all dieing for something they believe in. So if they kill more American troops then they win and if they die in battle, they win.

@tehkillerkela The only thing is that without troops there would be no war. If everyone refused to look a fellow human in the eyes and pull the trigger no one would be shot. No one is forcing them to kill, it's optional.

You're uh, kind of a prick. You're making a grievous generalization "soldiers are killers". Well "Mexicans are thieves" "Whites are racists" "Blacks are murderers" "Blondes are stupid" etc. etc.

You're just stereotyping. Some of the soldiers are out there with bloodlust, I know a few. Some of them come from military families and go in for that, I know a few. And some are disillusioned with life and don't know where else to go, so they go there.

Don't be disrespectful.
