well... i dont speak or writte english well, but ì`m having a research of the element Aether in spanish "eter", the original 5th essense was described by a greek Aristoteles, he said that Aether was a pure element, i have a believe that might be 2 ways of aether, the soul and the black energy... two faces...

Sounds to me like you are on the right track, if you think that Aether is about both consciousness (soul) and pre-physical 'dark' energy, not visible to physical eyes and instruments.
