@viggoM35 It was fixed a few days later with a new carb, the slide was damaged... But I still love the way people are answering the query almost 4 years later... lol..

Either buy a rebuild kit for the carb or buy a new one....

There is a brass part in the venture of the carburetor that the needle slides into. You have to remove the main jet to get to it. Once replaced, it usually solves the idleing problem, and I bet thats whats wrong with yours...

Your probably right bud, I rebuilt this carb a while back and was amazed at how much the needle and various other bits had wore...

I would reccommend anyone with an old carb to spend the few quid and but a rebuild kit...

YEs i had the same thing happen to me you need to do the air ajustment and the idle at the same time and now i never have a problem.

it is not tuned right screw the tuneing screw in all the way then bring it out 3 and a half turnes
