Whoever so practices this Pranayama especially beginners You MUST practice slowly & at ur own pace u have to develop ur own rhythm & you have to make sure ur doing it accurately - If you experience any headache as ur doing it or any pain in the stomach area stop immediately The wrong practice of pranayama can seriously damage you - it is no joke however practising it properly and continously will giv u the best results it can cure all ailments do wonders to ur physique complexion hair growth!

It could be the same thing that i´ve got. The wall in my nose isn´t straight. Can´t really do that much about it. Only surgery can fix it.

Yes, altenate nostril breathing has tremendous good effects on the respiratory system. It helps against nasal congestion, bronchitis, asthma and various other problems. If you have any of these respiratory problems, it is best to seek the advice of an experienced Yoga teacher. It is advisable to start slowly. The video shows an intermediate variation.

my left nostril seems blocked even though i do not have any cold or sinus problem. as a result i can only breath through my right nostril. please advise any solution and advise the reason for my blocked nostril

Best is you ask a Yoga Teacher. He/she might be able to show you "Neti", a cleansing technique to open both nostrils.
Otherwise you can try as much as you can to still breath a little bit through your left nostril and increase the time for the inhalation through your left nostril. You can also lie on your right side for 1-2 minutes. Afterwards your left nostril might open up sufficiently so you can breathe more freely.
