the only german car company that could ever even be thought of as comparable to Lexus/Toyota would be Porsche, and that is only because Porsche has adapted the TPS and Toyota Culture of lean thinking.

The Bayrischen MotorenWerke and Daimler can't have no Chance against Lexus. And I happen to be German and happen to study Engineering at RWTH Aachen, (as Wendelin Wiedeking himself) so I should think I know what I'm speaking about.

If they didn't make as good of vehicles, then why are both companies going to outsell Lexus this year in the USA for the first time in over a decade?? I think that says a lot, especially considering Mercedes and BMW usually cost more than Lexus.

Who ever says Lexus are cheap quality obviously has never even been close to a Lexus.. The exterior of Lexus are of the highest quality known to automobiles, their tight panel gaps and their neat panel gap consisitency throughout the exterior (German cars have poor build quality) and the interior of Lexus are on a class of their own they have superior interior design and quality

So it may (may) have a better quality interior, What's the use of a 'quality' dash when the car itself does not work.

Too many are caught up in this brand perception that cause it's benz it's the best. This is the company that brought us the A-Class, a car that mercedes' own management apologised for because it was so crap in all respects, cheaply made and EXPENSIVE.

HAHA thousands of buttons, try the W211 E-class - It has a full keyboard if not more on it's dash.
