From what I heard today (which is the reason as to why I am here) my friend said that Digimon came first but they didn't have enough money so Pokemon was published first. He also said that Pokemon did indeed copy Digimon but I stopped him there before things got out of hand....

@JesusZero1000 Nope, completely wrong. Pokemon was an idea originally from way back to 1989 even, it was being made throughout the 90's due to Nintendo finicial debt it wasnt finished till the 96. Digimon was created as a male version of tomogatchi. Satoshi Tajiri had no prior dealings with anyone who would eventually make the later Digimon. Check your fact ;)

I love them both I couldn't pick between the two; I think Digimon is a bit darker and deals with real world situations (adoption, sibling rilvarly, divorce, death, depression, suicide, finding a purpose, etc) but either way both series mean alot to me and I wouldn't care if Digimon was a copy, it's a damn good one. :D
