Interestingly enough cavemen were not unobservant of the stars, Art historians have noticed that the speckled patterns on the animals depicted in the caves of Lascaux follow the same patterns as famous constellations. Man was seeing patterns in the sky far earlier than we've thought before.

Someone asked whether this Disney science stuff on my channel was on DVD.

It was released as a very rare limited edition aluminum boxed set "Disney Treasures - Tomorrowland"!

I actually asked them to do it! I heard about the "Treasures" series and thought it would be a good addition and THEY THOUGHT SO TOO! :-)

I was posting them from old videos I had, when we watched it as a kid. The DVDs are much better! :-) Try Amazon or eBay for new/used copies.

It's just too bad this new Disney has to fall away from what made them what they are. They ought to make a Disney classic channel or something. Thanks for bringing back some memories for me. ^_~

Yeah, they used to repeat things like this on 'Disney Presents' @ midnight. But Disney seems to have bought into the 'people are dumber than we thought' edict of recent years, begetting reality TV overload!

Amen to that. I remember watching these specials (re-broadcasts on the older Disney Channel back during the 80's)...and I felt that Walt was talking right to me....
