I strangely approve of this. I just can't imagine either of them being straight.

I just agree, they seems to be intimate...Both Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura did exist and they were enemies during the summer campaign of Osaka in 1615, which is said to be the last battle in the age of provincial wars in Japan. Strangely enough though, Date Masamune sheltered Sanada Yukimura's children soon after Yukimura's death and his direct descendants still live in Miyagi, the Date domain in the feudal era. Miyagi prefecture was badly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
