Why did everyone love to hate ArliSS anyway? I thought maybe the idea of a sports agent representing athletes from ballplayers to golfers to jockeys to team mascots may have been far-fetched, but what do I know?

@pinz2022 Sadly I never saw the whole show and I have no idea if people liked the show (whatever there are 7 seasons, it couldn't be that bad...). But let's just say.... I don't like sit-coms and I don't like sports, but I enjoyed Arliss, so I don't know what's not to love about it...

The hottest ep would be the one where Rita gets a nasty writer's cramp from doing the boss's signature on a heap of invitations. Cheapskate Arliss sends her to a physical therapist friend of his who works as a high-school gym teacher between professional team gigs. He massages Rita's knots away and they fall for each other. Unfortunately, he gets called away to his dream job with a major team a few days later. They have great red-hot goodbye sex but it still feels achingly sad.

The best moments on the show were the poignant ones. My favorite is the "Slump-buster" episode where Kirby Carlisle finds out the single mom of the rising teenage triathlete he's managing was the fat chick he banged in a meaningless one-night stand eighteen years earlier to get out of his romantic slump and the girl is his daughter. That one made me cry.
