The Nonel shock tube is a tube filled vith HMX+Al, it is only for the nonel system. You can not use this as a det cord.
But the det. cord is a whole different thing. It's usage is different. Sometimes it can contain 80g/m explosive! Like PETN, HMX, RDX. For example you can use for proper detonation in long blastholes. Fast detonation forwarding (but it's loud) cutting, etc. See Dyno nobel webpage
