http://www.snowboardprocamp.com 360's are a sick trick to learn how to do on your snowboard, and whether you're just learning how to 360, or just trying to get your 360's dialled. Here are three quick snowboarding tips to help you nail your frontside 360.

How to 360 Snowboarding Tip #1 Take Off

You want to spin a frontside 360 off your snowboard on the heel edge, and pop it evenly off your heels. So plan three turns up to the jump, so that your half ways throughout a heel turn as you get to the lip. Popping evenly off your heel edge will help you get more height, clear the lip of the jump, and keep your snowboard level in the air. If you pop evenly off your heels, you should land on your snowboard evenly on your toe edge.

How to 360 Snowboard Tip # 2 Wind up

The 360 spin comes from winding your body up. For a frontside 360 wind your upper body back, then as you pop off the lip rotate you upper body forward toward the jump. Keep your core stiff to bring your legs and snowboard with you. You want to rotate enough to get the 360 around, but not too much or you'll over spin, or revert out on the landing. A good rule is to spin just over 300 degrees, then twist out the last 60 degrees.

How to 360 Snowboard Tip # 3 in the Air

When you in the air you need to be doing two things. Bend your knees and keep your head looking for that landing. Bending your knees keep you compact in the air, and make it easy to grab your snowboard. Looking for your landing helps get the 360 spin around, and when you've spotted your landing, tells you when to get out of your spin, and brace for the landing.

Remember when first learning how to spin 360, do them outside the park first off the ground and side hits. When you're ready to try them in the park, start on the small jumps. Spinning 360 with style on a small jump is better than a goofy one on a large jump. Have fun learning how to 360 on your snowboard!

  • hey, I can't clear the lip that well, I have to pop really hard just to 180, So I was wondering if the board I have, depending on the amount of pop, has a large impact on the difficulty of doing 3's

  • @BassKopter you shouldn't have to pop that hard to clear the lip. Make sure you're popping at the end of the lip. What kind of snowboard do you ride?

  • @SnowboardProCamp My snowboard is a 140 Rossignol Alias, its tiny.... has like no flex and the pop is weak. its 9 cm too small.

  • @BassKopter The board is decent for park. Maybe practice getting lots of pop doing straight air. Popping off the lip and sucking up your knees. Maybe demo some park boards.

  • By popping does he mean olliying( Dont know how to spell it aha).

  • @Baseballfan19946 I mean jumping with both feet even off your heel edge

  • DUDE I WON!!!!!! :D

  • Im having a hard time finding people doing FS 3's off their toes their much harder but once you have em dialed off the heals its more about timing and comfort in the air. They look better in my opinion. Id like to add that rotating your upper body first and letting your hips flow through 1/2 of your spin then rotating your legs for the 2nd 180 makes over rotating obsolete for me plus it gives it more style. But beware this method can hold you back from 5's if you get too comfy with delayed 3's
