The Void Stares Back - Pest Queen

tl;dr - Skip to 9:11 for epic win.

I know that this fight has been uploaded many times, but I just couldn't help uploading this epicness myself :)

The Void Stares Back final boss fight was probably one of the best bosses I have encountered, its not terribly hard but requires a fair amount of attention and clicking skill. So when my friend asked me to finish this quest for them, I couldn't help but to throw myself at the opportunity to experience this fight again.

Just a quick tutorial and a few tips for those who are yet to attempt to finish this quest..

The Pest Queen (Level 599) is probably not the most challenging boss you will encounter and is probably one of the more easier to defeat (As of 10/01/11 kkty Nex). However, for an unexperianced player or a generally uncoordinated person she will still prove to be a challenge.

After inflicting some initial damage, she will summon four healers that will heal her at regular intervals making it impossible to kill this behemoth. Since you cannot kill these healers yourself, you must ensure that void knight archers make it safely to the battlefield in order to start doing some real damage, to do this you must kill elite defilers as they try to kill off your archers. As soon as you have a total of eight archers on the field, they will start efficiently killing off the healers - this is the chance to start doing some real damage. Time to time she will summon another four healers but as long as you maintain eight archers, they won't be too much of a hinderence. One last thing to note is the queens special attack which can hit up to 500 and kill most of your allies. In order to negate this, you must equip Korasi's sword and perform a special attack while she is charging up, this will make life easier for you and will add a nice 450 damage to the queen.

*Although you may not think it is necessary, it is really helpful to bring a BoB filled with food (Especially when you're account isn't maxed like this one was). From memory, i'm pretty sure I exhausted my entire tortoise on my Level 117 account.

*Try not to use Saradomin Brews, you will most definately want to be using stat boosting potions to ensure this fight doesn't last too long and brewing with restores will simply delay your victory. Just use rocktails like I did to ensure you don't run out of back-up lifepoints.

*Don't let the fight last too long, eventually (And as long as you keep disrupting the queen's special attack), you're special attack energy will run out. You only lose 15% energy per special but in the long run, you will be left without energy while you watch the queen charging her attack. If your stats aren't particularily high, this could mean having to tab out of the fight.

*Always stay ALERT for the queens special attack, there's nothing worse than missing that chance to nullify the mass damage she can inflict. Not only that but all friendly melee NPC's will be killed instantly, you're archers will stay alive but only barely.

*Kill all elite defilers, some say its best to just attack them once to get them off your archers but it's still best to kill them to avoid that extra damage.

BTW, this is the actual track that plays when you fight the queen (Entitled 'The Void Stares Back', How appropriate). Who would've known that Jagex could come up with some decent music?
