Cell phone use is by far the single most abused and invasive technology to date. While in a public setting, one can easily overhear the most mundane nonsensical garbage imaginable. Were I on the other end hearing such rubbish, I would simply hang up.
Do people report their day "as it happens" to others? What do they talk about while in person? It's not that people have suddenly become great conversationalists, Trust me!
